Augview NTRIP - Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Augview NTRIP Android application developed and published by Augview Ltd.

Augview Ltd is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This policy outlines what data the Augview NTRIP application collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.

Data Collected by the Application

Augview NTRIP is designed to operate with minimal data collection. The application:

• Does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information (name, email, phone number, or account credentials) to Augview Ltd or any third party.
• Does NOT collect or transmit device identifiers, advertising IDs, or analytics data.
• Does NOT use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.

NTRIP Caster Credentials

The application allows users to enter connection credentials (host, port, username, and password) for NTRIP caster services. These credentials are:

• Stored locally on the device only, using Android DataStore.
• Transmitted only to the NTRIP caster specified by the user, for the purpose of establishing a connection.
• Never transmitted to Augview Ltd or any third party.

Location Data

Augview NTRIP receives GNSS position data from an external receiver connected via Bluetooth. This position data is:

• Used to inject mock location updates into the Android system, as configured by the user.
• Optionally sent to the user's configured NTRIP caster as GGA sentences, to receive location-specific RTK corrections. This is enabled or disabled by the user in the application settings.
• Stored locally on the device only if the user enables NMEA file logging.
• Never transmitted to Augview Ltd or any third party.

NMEA Log Files

When the user enables NMEA logging, the application writes NMEA sentences received from the connected GNSS receiver to a local file on the device. These log files:

• Contain raw NMEA data including position, satellite information, and correction status.
• Do NOT contain any personal information, account credentials, or device identifiers.
• Are stored locally on the device and are only shared when the user explicitly chooses to export them.

Bluetooth

The application uses Bluetooth to connect to external GNSS receivers. Bluetooth permissions are used solely for discovering and communicating with GNSS devices. The application does not use Bluetooth for location tracking or any other purpose.

Subscription and Billing

Augview NTRIP uses Google Play Billing for subscription management. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. Augview Ltd does not collect, store, or have access to any payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.). Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for information on how Google handles payment data.

Third-Party Services

The application connects to NTRIP caster services as configured by the user. These are third-party services not operated by Augview Ltd. Users should refer to the privacy policies of their respective NTRIP caster providers for information on how those services handle data.

Data Retention and Deletion

All application data (connection settings, NMEA logs) is stored locally on the user's device. Augview Ltd does not retain any user data on its servers.

Users can delete all application data at any time by:

• Clearing the application data in Android Settings (Settings → Apps → Augview NTRIP → Storage → Clear data).
• Uninstalling the application, which removes all locally stored data.

Changes to This Policy

Augview Ltd reserves the right to update this privacy policy. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
